On Thursday January 30, 2025, ADELLA PATRICIA WELCH of Upper Hindsbury Road, St. Michael, passed peacefully into heaven at age 99.
She was a former senior salesclerk at Thani Brothers; Widow of the late Arthur Lionel Welch; Mother of Dr. Rosita Moore (U.S.) and Cyrilene Cecilia Welch; Mother-in-law of Dr. Wayne Moore (U.S.). Grandmother of Dr. Janelle Welch (Jamaica) and Brandon Marshall; Sister of Rev. Michael Sayers (U.S.) and the late John Wilson, Gordon Wilson, Robert Wilson, and Myra Morris; Sister-in-law of Barbara Wilson, Rita Wilson, Gale Sayers (U.S.), Jeffrey Shepherd, and the late Eric Morris, Lisle Welch and Alfred (Sparkie) Welch (Valda) (U.K.); Stepmother of Orlando Bates; Foster mother of Delphine Connell; Aunt Pat to many, including the Sayers siblings of the U.S., the Wilson siblings of Barbados, Mark Morris, Giancarlo Shepherd, Zoya Shepherd (Canada), Trevor and Patricia Welch, Lionel Welch (U.K.), Jacqueline Welch Bracey (U.K.), and Angela Barrow (U.S.); Cousin-in-law of Etheline Best (Canada); Special Friend of Cameron Walrond, Joyce Ramsay, Melva Williams, Everton Clarke, Sybil Manning , the late Phyllis Thomas, Anita Whitney (U.S.), Freddie and Pauline Thomas.
The funeral of the late Adella Patricia Welch will leave the Paramount Funeral Home, Upper Hindsbury Road, St. Michael, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 9:15 a.m. for the Berean Bible Church, Hothersal Turning, St. Michael where friends and relatives are asked to meet at 11 a.m. for the service of praise and thanksgiving to celebrate her life. The cortege will then proceed to the Frangipani Lawns of Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, the Ridge, Christ Church, for the interment. Floral arrangements may be sent to the Paramount Funeral Home no later than 9 a.m. on Tuesday February 18, 2025.
The body will repose for viewing at the Paramount Funeral Home on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m.
