On Sunday March 2, 2025, HUBERT LEONARD ALONZO BYNOE of Spooner’s Hill Retreat, Chapel Gap, Spooner’s Hill, St. Michael and formerly of #74 Sheraton Park, Christ Church died peacefully at age 90.
He was a retired Senior Tutor and Head of The Division of Commerce, Barbados Community College. Son of the late Ethelbert and Edith Bynoe; Husband of the late Eileen Bynoe; Father of Margaret Jones; Adopted grandfather of Nicholas Jones. Brother of the late Harold and Clement Bynoe and the late Inez King; Uncle of Mark, Andrew and Edison Bynoe, Carolyn McDonald, Hilda Bynoe-Walker and Brian King (both of Canada) and Gary Blunt. Former father-in-law of Carl Jones; Brother-in-law of Carmen Morris, Lucille Bynoe, the late Hubert, John and Mary Porte and the late Dorothy Lovell; Relative of the Bynoe, Beckles, Coward and Lythcott family; Friend of the Hazzard, Gittens and Inniss families and many others.
The Funeral of the late Hubert Leonard Alonzo Bynoe leaves Paramount Funeral Home, Upper Hindsbury Road, St. Michael at 8:30 am on Saturday March 22, 2025 for James Street Methodist Church, James Street, Bridgetown, St. Michael; where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 am for the Service of Praise and Thanksgiving to celebrate his life. The cortege will then proceed to Christ Church Cemetery for the Interment. The Organist and members of the Church Church Choir are kindly asked to attend. Flowers may be sent to Paramount Funeral Home no later than 8:15 am on Saturday March 22, 2025.
The body will repose for viewing in the Chapel of the Paramount Funeral Home on Friday March 21, 2025 from 4 pm until 6 pm.
