On Wednesday January 29, 2025, Ianthe Elnora Hines née Hoyte of #50, 4th Avenue West Terrace, St. James and formerly of the UK, Merricks, St. Philip and Ellerton, St. George died peacefully at age 79.
She was a retired Nurse of the QEH; Daughter of the late Violet Blades and the late Livingstone Maynard; Stepdaughter of the late Eustace Blades; Sister of Gloria Cook, Ernestine Hoyte (both of the UK), Lilian O’Garro (USA), Jean Savoury, Yvonne Hampden, Patsy Blades and the late Gwendolyn Weekes. Aunt of Albert (Ras John) Hoyte, Keith Hoyte, Selwyn Hoyte and Vanessa Hampden (both of the USA), Shawn and Dave Blades, Shernell Savoury (Canada) and many others; Niece of the late James Maynard; Cousin of Ian Hoyte, Jeffrey Lorde, the late Cherrill Hoyte and many others. Sister-in-law of Winston McKenzie (UK), Steadman Weekes and Othneil O’Garro (both of the USA), Vinston Hampden and the late David Savoury; Relative of the Hoyte, Forde, Alleyne and Maynard families and Friend of many too numerous to mention.
The Funeral of the late Ianthe Elnora Hines née Hoyte leaves Paramount Funeral Home, Upper Hindsbury Road, St. Michael at 1:15 pm on Thursday February 13, 2025 for The Church of The Holy Trinity, Ruby, St. Philip, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3:00 pm for a Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate her life followed by the interment in the church yard. The Organist and members of the Church Choir are kindly asked to attend. Flowers may be sent to Paramount Funeral Home no later than 1:00 pm on Thursday February 13, 2025.
The body will repose for viewing in the Chapel of the Paramount Funeral Home on Wednesday February 12, 2025 from 4 pm until 6 pm.
